Bird, thus also known as the \u201cBird Safety Triangle\u201d have since expanded upon the theory.\u00a0\u00a0A triangle or pyramid often shows this relationship pictorially. Analysts have described the triangle of safety as a cornerstone of 20th-century\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oshaoutreachcourses.com\/blog\/statistics-how-osha-improve-workplace-safety\/\">workplace health and safety<\/a> philosophy. The Heinrich triangle was first proposed in 1931 by Herbert William Heinrich in his book Industrial Accident Prevention: A Scientific Approach. He was a workplace health and safety leader and worked in the insurance sector.
