Judge Upholds OSHA Citations against Denver Contractor

A federal administrative law court has upheld citations and penalties against a Denver, CO construction contractor. The citations addressed a lack of adequate fall protection protocols for employees working on one of the contractor’s projects. In April 2019, an OSHA inquiry concluded that Premier Roofing LLC neglected to conduct timely site safety inspections. According to the inquiry, the contractor repeatedly exposed its own employees as well as those of its subcontractor, M & M General Construction LLC, to fall hazards at a roofing project in Aurora, IL. M & M settled their penalties in 2019. However, Premier Roofing appealed to the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission (OSHRC) to review the penalties, amounting to $ 145,858. OSHRC upheld the citations and penalties levied against Premier Roofing earlier this month.
