Learning Objectives

  • 1. This 16 Hour Online portion of this course consists of 45 sections broken down into 10 modules

Training Process

Each Hazmat Employer is required to train, test, and certify every Hazmat Employee within 90 days of employment. Recurrent training must occur at least once every three years. New employees or those assuming new Hazmat responsibilities must complete initial training within 90 days. Until training is completed, employees may perform Hazmat functions only under direct supervision. This course provides comprehensive training for personnel responding to hazardous materials incidents at Level III. Additional training may be required based on the employee’s role and level of involvement. This may include emergency response training, specialized DOT Hazmat procedures, or proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Employers must also provide site-specific training that addresses company-specific hazards, procedures, and equipment. This training must be documented and meet all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
