Summary of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) of 2018
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) of 2018 was signed into law in June 2018. It was enacted with the purpose and intent to further the California constitutional right of privacy by giving consumers an effective way to control their personal information. The Act is effective January 1, 2020.
